1. Nature of the Service
West Springfield Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections relating to West Springfield, Massachusetts. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with a government office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Acceptable Use
Use the service and any information found through it only for lawful purposes. You may not use it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person
- Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit fraud or identity theft
- Make a regulated decision about credit, employment, housing, insurance, or tenancy
- Scrape, copy, or republish the content at scale
- Interfere with the service's security or operation
3. No Consumer Report
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on the service, including material returned by a linked tool, is a consumer report. It may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.
4. Third-Party Links
Government portals, library collections, sponsored tools, and other outside resources have their own terms and policies. We do not control their content, availability, prices, records, or privacy practices.
5. No Warranties
The service is provided as is and as available. We make no warranty that its content is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose, or that an outside portal will operate or return correct results.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from use of the service or a linked resource, including actions taken in reliance on a record.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the operators harmless from claims, demands, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief attributed excerpt is allowed. Republishing full pages or systematically copying content is not permitted.
9. Term Changes
We may revise these terms by posting a new version. Continued use after a revision means that you accept the revised terms.
10. Restricting Access
We may suspend, block, or limit access, without notice, for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service.
11. Massachusetts Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Massachusetts Public Records Law, G.L. c.66 §10, and its exemptions in G.L. c.4 §7(26) govern public-record requests to custodians, not this private reference service.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
